About

Jen Stever (they/she) is an Iñupiaq writer, mom, artist, photographer, and proud nerd. They grew up splitting their time between the San Francisco Bay Area and Alaska. They live in Anchorage, and are a graduate of the University of Alaska Anchorage’s Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing and Literary Arts program. Jen writes poetry and fiction. Their micro-chapbook of poetry, Immuk and Cookies, was published in 2020. Jen’s second collection, Postcards from the Iñuuniaġvik (2024), is an immersive experience of photo, sound, and poetry created with support from the Anchorage Museum. Their novel manuscript, Lost Son of Fire, won a 2020 Jason Wenger Award for Excellence in Creative Writing from UAA, and they have been nominated for two Pushcart Prizes by Alaska Women Speak.
